Good article. As you point out, if you dig deep enough there is almost always a SynchronizationContext interface someplace in each of the myriad of multithreading abstractions that .NET seems to be accumulating. Right now, it seems that hooking the SC is really one of the best ways for interoperating between them if you're concerned about thread affinity.
